Artemis Malo – Deputy Minister in the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

Ms. Artemis Malo was born in the city of Gjirokastra on May 19, 1981.

Holds the title of Doctorate in Comparative Linguistics, Expert in Linguistics, completed post-graduate studies Master in Linguistic Translation, was awarded the title Docent in the academic field, Graduated in English Philology and Civilization, specialized in the profile of foreign languages, and then Graduated in the Faculty of Law, University of Tirana, specialized in public law.

She served in the position of Deputy Minister in the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in the period 2017-2019, and then as a Deputy in the Parliament of the Republic of Albania, as a representative of the District of Gjirokastra, where she was a member of the Commission for National Security , the Commission for European Integration, the Economy Commission, as well as the Commission for Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights.

Before the assigned task in 2017, she was engaged as a lecturer for 14 years in several universities inside and outside the country, as well as in various engagements in the inclusion and activation of the young generation in social fields, but also in the protection of the rights of minorities, or the role of women, the elimination of racial or gender discrimination.

Ms. Artemis Malo is the author of several publications on issues related to language, linguistic comparison, national minorities, policies on the regulation of the correct use of standard Albanian, unexplained forms compared, translation adaptations, the role of women and gender equality, etc., in scientific journals at home and abroad. She has two children, Theodhora and Elena.
