Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Agron Tare, participated in the event organized on November 20, 2020 by the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly “30th Anniversary of the Paris Charter: A Parliamentary Perspective”. The event was attended by high-level representatives of OSCE participating States, International Organizations, Civil Society and academia.

In his welcoming speech, Deputy Minister Tare underlined the important historical achievements of the Paris Charter, culminating in the institutionalization of the Helsinki Process and the establishment of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. Focusing on current international challenges, Mr. Tare noted the efforts that need to be made in improving human rights, resolving conflicts, and addressing international threats.

Also, Deputy Minister Tare noted the commitment of the Albanian Presidency of the OSCE to increase and strengthen the role of the Parliamentary Assembly of this organization in the international political arena.
