The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, held an online meeting with the Slovenian State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gasper Dovžan.

Minister Xhaçka congratulated Slovenia for the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, emphasizing that Slovenia will be a strong voice in advancing the European integration of Albania and the Western Balkan countries.

The Albanian head diplomat stressed that the Western Balkans should be a stronghold of European values ​​and not a weak joint of its security.

“Very good exchange with the State Secretary Gašper Dovžan. Greatly appreciate Slovenia’s commitment to Western Balkans integration. Looking forward to seeing their Presidency in action during the second half of 2021 and working closely together to advance Western Balkans and European Union cooperation”, the minister wrote on social networks.
