The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, had a video conference with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Western Balkans and the Commissioner for the European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi.

“In this digital meeting we expressed our gratitude for the unsparing support of the European Union in the fight against COVID-19 and the importance of concentrating our continuous efforts in tackling this challenge, was emphasized.”- Cakaj explained in a Facebook post, related to the video conference.

Also, Cakaj emphasized in the video conference, that regardless the unusual circumstances, the work of Albania towards the European integration was shown and the commitment to act in accordance with all priorities as presented in the last conclusions of the Council, was emphasized.

“This is essential to advance even further in the process of negotiations for membership in the European Union.”- concluded the Head of Albanian Diplomacy Cakaj, in his post.
