The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, participated in a virtual meeting held with the Foreign Ministers of the participating countries in the Black Sea Organization for Economic Cooperation.

The meeting was focused in the fight against the pandemic and the constant struggle to strengthen the regional interconnection.

Via a Facebook post, related to the meeting, Chief Diplomat Cakaj informed that Albania has officially the presidency of this organization for the first six-months of 2021.

“Recently Albania has led the USA-Adriatic Card (A5) initiative, the Organization for Cooperation and Security in Europe and now it will lead the Black Sea Organization for Economic Cooperation. This shows not only the increased power of Albania in regional initiatives but also the increasing credibility from the international partners for the Albanian Diplomacy skills.”- Cakaj ended his post.
