Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, had a phone conversation with the Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Varvitsiotis.

Via a Twitter post, Cakaj explained that they discussed about the facilitation of the passing of the citizens in the border entry points, in Kakavia.

“In full respect of all the measures and the strengthening of the teams working at the border, we are continuously following the situation to ease the work flow at the borders”, – he expressed.

As a consequence of the coronavirus cases increasing in Albania and Greece, the Greek authorities have decided to do massive tests for the citizens who pass to Greece.

MEFA declared earlier that talks are being held to extend the working schedule at the border entry points, so that the citizens could pass during the night. On the other hand, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defense have provided to the citizens waiting medical staff, ambulances and hygienic services.
