The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs informs that the Greek Ministry of Immigration and Asylum has extended the validity of the residence permits and certifications of the application for the third country citizens, where Albania is included.

For the documents issued by the Greek state which have expired during the period 1 January-31 July 2020, the validity will be extended until 31 March 2021.

As for the documents issued from 1 August 2020, with the expiry date of 31 March 2021, their validity will be automatically extended with eight months, starting from their initial expiry date.

The entry into force of the residence permits, that will be issued, starts the following day from the date of expiry of the listed residence permit.

This does not apply to the residence permits and the certifications of application that are already renewed for a later date.
