The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, spoke after the publication of the progress report by the European Commission on the EU Enlargement Policy.
In a press statement, Minister Xhaçka emphasized that the conclusions of the report for our country shows the progress done, reconfirming the fact that Albania has fulfilled all the conditions to hold the first Intergovernmental Conference.

“Albania is fully aligned with the EU positions according to the common foreign and security policy. Our will to achieve the national goal of becoming a member of the EU is sustainable, and our progress is undeniable, our commitment with the European Commission and member states will continue to implement in a more concrete and tangible way the reconfirmed promise at the Brdo Summit for the European perspective of our region. For this perspective to be credible we need to take action now. Albania deserves and should be part of the negotiations with the EU within this year”, said the minister during her statement
