Canada has completed the procedures for the ratification on the Canada-Albania Social Security Agreement.

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, notified through social media, that the agreement, which will come into effect, August 1, 2022, allows the citizens from both countries, the right to enjoy all the benefits of their contributions.

The agreement on mutual recognition of social security will be useful for Albanian and Canadian citizens living and working in their respective countries, by coordinating payments and benefits in accordance with the public pension plans of the two countries.
