The European Commission released today the Progress Report on Albania. The news was announced by Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, in a posting on Facebook.

The Commission’s report, once again, recommends the immediate and unconditional opening of Albania’s accession negotiations with the European Union.

“We will immediately launch a political and diplomatic communication campaign with member states to convince them of the necessity to open accession negotiations with Albania,” said the Head of diplomacy Cakaj in his status.

Cakaj also expressed the full commitment of the government to continue with the radical reforms undertaken in the framework of EU integration.
