The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, received in a meeting the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau for European and Eurasian Affairs, Gabriel Escobar.

The Albanian chief diplomat praised the US continuous support for our country and the Western Balkans region.

At the same time, she stressed that Albania is committed to the stability and Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkans and welcomes cooperation with US friends and partners on the regional agenda.

Minister Xhaçka’s meeting with Mr. Escobar came a few hours after the return of the Albanian chief diplomat from the US, where she participated in the meetings that Prime Minister Rama held in Detroit and New York, focusing mainly on the hospitality that Albania gave to 2,400 Afghan citizens, deepening cooperation in the field of education as well as the expansion of American investments in Albania.
