The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka met with Lord Stuart Peach, the Special Envoy of the British Prime Minister for the Western Balkans.

Minister Xhaçka appreciated the commitment of the United Kingdom in the Western Balkans, especially the special attention of the UK to the situations affecting the region.

Focusing on bilateral relations, they appreciated the fact that trade exchanges between Albania and Great Britain have increased by 160% during 2022.

The two officials discussed the necessity of concentrating cooperation in practical fields, including energy, ports, and transportation infrastructure, which are crucial for ensuring regional connectivity.
