During her official visit in the Middle East, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Minister Xhaçka stressed that Albania and the United Arab Emirates rely on strong ties of friendship and gratitude.

The two ministers agreed that by working closely together, the two countries will expand cooperation in all areas, including the United Nations Security Council.

During her visit to the UAE, Minister Xhaçka also visited the Albanian pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020-2021 and participated in the official ceremony of the Albanian National Day at Expo Dubai.

Minister Xhaçka underlined that Expo Dubai is an excellent opportunity to present Albania, as well as offers opportunities for the enhancement of economic and trade relations with interested countries.
