Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, received in a meeting the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bisera Turković, who paid an official visit to Tirana.

The meeting focused on deepening and strengthening the bilateral cooperation, especially through exploring opportunities for new economic and trade ties.

Minister Xhaçka and her counterpart Turković expressed their commitment to supporting the integration of the two respective communities living in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania, emphasizing that they remain a safe bridge for strengthening the friendship between the two countries.

Also, Chief Diplomat Xhaçka expressed the full support of our country for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as its progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration.

“Understanding the specifics of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I asked Minister Turković to consider the possibility of finding concrete solutions to some of the problems related to Kosovo, such as the need to recognize documents or the need to facilitate visa procedures. Convinced that these solutions will benefit the entire region, but also Bosnia and Herzegovina itself by promoting exchanges and trade”, said Minister Xhaçka.
