Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, has participated in the special reinforced online meeting of the Permanent Council of the OSCE, on the issue of Ukraine.

Minister Xhaçka said that Russia must put an end to the illegal aggression in Ukraine, emphasizing that the whole world wants peace in a way that respects the UN Charter and the principles of the OSCE.

According to her, anything less than that would create grave consequences for the whole world.

“Albania and the Albanian people will continue to stand by Ukraine and support Ukraine. Together with our partners, we will continue to help Ukraine in any way we can to protect itself. I am convinced that the OSCE will continue to play a decisive role in this crucial issue, on which the future of security and peace in Europe depends,” said the Albanian chief diplomat.

A year ago, Russia launched its illegal aggression against Ukraine, causing thousands of casualties as well as risking the stability of the rules-based world order.
