Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, participated in the conference on the “30th anniversary of Albania-U.S. relations”, organized by the Albanian Institute for International Studies.

Minister Xhaçka emphasized that the relations between Albania and the U.S. are not only diplomatic relations or relations between governments and states, but also a strong and multifaceted connection between the people.

According to her, the relation with the U.S. has been decisive for the history of Albania, starting from its role in avoiding the fragmentation of Albania a century ago, to the fall of communism and the establishment of peace and stability in our region.

“Today, the U.S. is again very committed to supporting Albania in every field, from defense to the economic field, as well as the forthcoming considerable American strategic investments in the field of energy, especially in justice reform. Today the Ambassador Kim is persistently continuing the mission of all her predecessors to support Albania in building here a European democratic country, functioning on the rule of law”, declared the chief diplomat Xhaçka.
