Igli Hasani, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, attended a conference titled “The Role of Parliaments in the Berlin Process”

Minister Hasani underlined how important it is for the Albanian Parliament and other participating parliaments in the Berlin Process to take a more active role. He emphasized that there are plenty of opportunities for parliaments to become more involved in the Berlin Process.

“A close working relationship between the government and the Parliament would inevitably produce tangible results, enhancing the achievements of the Berlin Process for our country. Hopefully, the Tirana Summit will yield concrete outcomes that will quicken our nation’s transition to the European single market and membership in the EU”

The Berlin Process Summit is set to take place in Tirana on October 16. This is the first time a summit within the Berlin Process framework has been held in a country in the region.
