Igli Hasani, the minister for Europe and foreign affairs, presided over the meeting of the Informal Interactive Dialogue with the League of Arab States (IID-LAS) in his capacity as president of the Security Council.

As he emphasized the necessity of diffusing the situation and refraining from unilateral steps on the ground, Minister Hasani said that Albania supports the League of Arab States’ efforts to reduce tensions.

“We remain committed to collective action to address transnational challenges. As a result, we firmly support the UN and Arab States’ cooperation in accomplishing their common anti-terrorist goals and coordinating their efforts to combat all illegal smuggling activities, the Minister said.

The meeting of the Informal Interactive Dialogue with the League of Arab States was preceded by a bilateral meeting between the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani and the Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
