The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, participated in the Annual meeting of the Economic and Environmental Forum, which is being held in Prague.

The focus of this meeting was the importance of using new technologies and digital platforms in the fight against corruption and organized crime.
“Promoting security, stability and economic development through fight against corruption is one of the fundamental priorities of the Albanian OSCE Presidency.”- expressed Cakaj in a Facebook post in relation to the participation in this forum.

Furthermore, The Chief Diplomat Cakaj informed that privacy and cyber security, the fight against fraud in the financial systems, the exploitation of technology in service of public accountability and institutional transparency are some of the main cases that are being elaborated from experts and high representatives of the participating countries.

“Albania, as the current Chairmanship of OSCE, is fulfilling its duty to encourage cooperation between the participating countries in service of the efficient use of technology against corruption.”- concluded Cakaj.
