The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs informs that, starting from October 1, 2023, the Agreement on Social Security between the Republic of Albania and the Federal Republic of Switzerland enters into force.

This agreement will provide the citizens of both countries the right to enjoy the full benefits of their contributions. It covers insurance for elderly people, survivors and for the people with disabilities. Also, it complies with international standards for the coordination of social security systems.

There are about 2,000 Albanian citizens, who will benefit from this agreement.
