On the morning of Flag Day, the Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Northern Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla, held a joint video call.

Via a Facebook post, Chief Diplomat Cakaj said regarding the video call that with his counterparts, they started this day with humble respect for the red and black flag, deep feelings and sympathy of the common journey as an Albanian nation and, of course, with the most heartfelt congratulations to every Albanian, anywhere in the world.
