In response to the interest of the media regarding the event in Corfu, where a citizen of the Republic of Alania lost his life, the spokeswoman of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs Edlira Prendi, states that: “The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Athens was informed by the General Directorate of the Police of Attica about the murder of the Albanian citizen Petrit Zifle, born on 03.07.1955 in Albania, resident in the city of Berat and recently residing in Sparteron, Corfu. MEFA expresses regret over the loss of life of the citizen Petrit Zifle, commends the arrest of the perpetrator by Greek police and calls for a comprehensive investigation and the thorough disclosure of the circumstances of the case.”
