The Albanian authorities, media and the public opinion have condemned the shooting at the family home of the journalist Klodiana Lala, on August 30-th, 2018.
 
The Albanian authorities as well as the Union of Albanian Journalists and Civic Society, have strongly condemned the attack and have asked for a thorough and over-all investigation of the motives behind the assault and send the perpetrators before justice. An investigation process has already been started.
 
Albania remains committed to defend and support media freedom, because a free and independent media constitute a supporting pillar for democracy, rule of law and country’s over-all progress.
