The 108th anniversary of Flag Day coincides with the birthday of the legendary KLA Commander Adem Jashari, the acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, visited the Adem Jashari Memorial site in Prekaz, Drenica.

Chief diplomat Cakaj pays homage to the graves of Adem Jashari, Hamza Jashari and other family members of the Jashari family. Based on concrete facts the history of this place speaks about the course of the war 18 years ago and the resistance that this hero’s family has made in the confrontation with the police and Serbian army.

“November, the 28the is not only a national holiday. November, the 28th is the day of remembering the historical path as a nation and honoring all the generations that make me remember the history of Albania and Albanians. Albania’s independence was declared in Vlora, but the recent history of all Albanians is in Prekaz. Moreover, today we celebrate the birthday of the Legendary Commander, Adem Jashari, who was sacrificed heroically together with his family for Kosovo and Albania.”- said Cakaj.
