The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, had a phone conversation with the Foreign Minister of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani.

Cakaj during the conversation wished to Minister Osmani immeasurable success in his historic mandate as the first Albanian Chief Diplomat of North Macedonia.

“Furthermore, after serving as Deputy Prime Minister and Chief Negotiator, he took another historic responsibility – the political and diplomatic leadership of negotiations for membership in the European Union.” – emphasized Cakaj in a Facebook post related to the phone call.

Moreover, Chief Diplomat Cakaj expressed his readiness to continue working to further deepen the bilateral relations with the newly appointed counterpart as head of diplomacy of North Macedonia; to strengthening the regional cooperation and growing the political dynamic for membership in the EU.
