The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, had a phone call with the Minister for European Neighbourhood and Americas of United Kingdom, Wendy Morton.

The Ministers during the phone call evaluated positively the close cooperation between the countries in the international organizations, especially in the OSCE.

“I informed in details about the goal of Albania to become a member of the Security Council for 2022-2023. Taking into consideration the bilateral cooperation, the common values of the precious alliance of NATO, Albania counts on the support of the United Kingdom for its candidacy in the Security Council.”- emphasized Cakaj in a Facebook post, related to the phone call.

Further, the ministers agreed to conclude some bilateral agreements with the goal to expand the scope of the advantageous cooperation between the two countries.
