The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, had a phone call with the First Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Affairs Minister of Bulgaria, Ekaterina Zaharieva.

The counterparts discussed in details about the cooperation between the two countries in regional and international organizations such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation of the Black Sea, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and NATO.

The ministers also discussed about the importance of strengthening the Berlin Process and the necessity for further progress in the negotiation process to join the EU.

“We thank Bulgaria for the continuous support in the accession process of Albania in the European Union.”- Cakaj expressed in a Facebook post related to the phone call.

At the end of the post, Cakaj emphasized that Bulgaria is a strong supporter of the visa liberalization for the Republic of Kosovo and is very supportive of the Republic of Kosovo in many regional initiatives and not only.
