Cakaj meets the Mayor of Gjilan: the dialogue must be concluded with the recognition of Kosovo from Serbia.

The acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, welcomed today in a visit the Mayor of Gjilan, Lutfi Haziri.

Minister Cakaj thanked Haziri for his valuable work in Gjilan and his unsparing support in bringing together the political parties in the Presevo Valley.

“The importance of increasing state support from Kosovo and Albania for our brothers in the Valley was emphasized.”- Cakaj expressed in a Facebook post.

Furthermore, Chief Diplomat Cakaj said that the political development in the region and the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue especially, were also discussed during the meeting.

“Albania is following closely the development of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia and absolutely supports the platform of Kosovo in this process”, – he added.

According to the Minister, it remains completely clear that the dialogue must be concluded with the recognition of the Republic of Kosovo from Serbia.
