The acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, is on an official visit to Hague, during which he held a meeting with the newly elected OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, Kairat Adbrakhamanov.

In the meeting with High Commissioner Adbrakhamanov, Cakaj stressed that the conversation was focused on the issue of the passivizing of addresses of Albanians in Medvedja, Bujanovac and Presevo.

“We disclosed detailed information about some other practices there, regarding the impossibility of using national symbols and severe under-representation in state institutions.” –  stated Cakaj via a Facebook post, regarding the meeting.

The Chief Diplomat added that they were assured that this issue will be addressed with full priority by the OSCE Commission on National Minorities.

“Gratitude to the Commissioner, for the constructive approach at today’s meeting and we will continue unsparingly to inform at every international level about the fate of our brothers in the Valley.” – Cakaj concluded his posting.
