The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, during his visit in Sarajevo, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović.

At the meeting, discussion focused on the need to increase bilateral cooperation, especially through promoting tourism and increasing trade exchanges.

Also, together with the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Džaferović, they stressed the inalienable importance of supporting the Berlin Process and preserving the pro-European spirit in the Western Balkans.

“We share the view that the process of membership in the European Union is a very important instrument for reforms and for putting an end to bilateral issues in the region,” Cakaj said in a Facebook post.

Furthermore, Chief Diplomat Cakaj stressed that Albania will continue working on the implementation of the necessary objectives for the membership process and the preservation of transatlantic values in the Western Balkans.
