At the margins of the Warsaw Conference on the Middle East Situation, Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj held a bilateral meeting with Hungary’s Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.

Both interlocutors exchanged views on the progress of the European integration process of Albania. Acting Minister Cakaj focused particularly on the achievements Albania has made, especially with regard to the steps taken in meeting the five priorities and conditions for opening negotiations.

Minister Szijjártó congratulated Minister Cakaj for the assignment and reconfirmed Hungary’s support in the processes that Albania will engage in the coming months, especially with regard to the European integration process.

In the bilateral plan, both interlocutors focused on the need for strengthening of legal and economic co-operation between two countries.

Hungary’s Foreign Minister Szijjártó invited the Acting Minister Cakaj for an official visit to Budapest, an invitation that Minister Cakaj welcomed with pleasure.
