The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, had a phone conversation with the Secretary General of BDI Artan Grubi, immediately after finishing the negotiations with their coalition partner LDSM.

“I have expressed my sincere congratulations for the historic agreement which will make possible the first Albanian Prime Minister in North Macedonia even though for 100 days as a start.”

The Head of the Albanian Diplomacy also emphasized that even though the Chair of the Parliament will continue to be Albanian, it is an historic achievement that the Macedonian diplomacy will be led by an Albanian. According to Cakaj, today’s agreement has opened an unparalleled horizon for the strengthening of Albanians and developing of democracy in North Macedonia.

“Congratulations to all Albanians and a special acknowledgment to Mr. Ali Ahmeti and Mr. Artan Garubi for the priceless work they have done to strengthen the Albanian factor, democracy and the domestic development and the euro-Atlantic processes in North Macedonia.” – congratulated the Acting Minister Cakaj.

The Head of Diplomacy Cakaj concluded his post by ensuring that the excellent bilateral cooperation, the common work in the NATO framework and towards European Union integration will continue with North Macedonia.
