Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj, in a Facebook post, remembers the marking of the 22nd anniversary of the Epopee of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).

‘Celebrating the days of the KLA Epopee means much more than celebrating powerful memory, and much more than making a profound bow before the family that fell to arouse an entire people to take action,’ Cakaj stated in his post.

Additionally, the Head of Albanian diplomacy pointed out that remembering the Jashari Family means glorifying all of what KLA represents: the value of freedom beyond life, the love for the nation above one’s family, and the sacrifice beyond measure for the sublime ideal for the liberation of Kosovo!

‘The fierce fighting and the unprecedented sacrifice made on the 5th, 6th and 7th of March 1998, in Prekaz, are the cornerstone for free Kosovo, and a point of unity of the Albanian nation in general,’ Cakaj ends his post.
