Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj, who attended the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the Union for the Mediterranean Regional Forum, met with the Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs Augusto Santos Silva.

‘A very open and fruitful conversation with the Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Augusto Santos Silva, so as to enlist their support for the start in a few days of the EU membership negotiations for Albania,’ Cakaj states in a Facebook post.

Albania is putting forth intensive efforts to ensure as wide a support as possible for the launch of the EU membership negotiations.
