The acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, was hosted today at the White House in Washington DC by the Special Envoy of President Trump on the Peace Talks between Serbia and Kosovo, Ambassador Richard Grenell.

The discussion focused on the importance of a lasting agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia and the promotion of economic development in the Western Balkans.

“Carification: There are no secret agreements, no plans for the partition of the Republic of Kosovo, no haste for any harmful agreement, but efforts to promote economic development and strengthen the people of the Republic of Kosovo internationally with the support of the United States of America! ”- Cakaj emphasized in a Facebook post, regarding the meeting.

Cakaj also loudly stated that despite the challenges, Albania will continue its unsparing support for the Republic of Kosovo.
