Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj, who is attending the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the Union for the Mediterranean Regional Forum, met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Tunisia Khemaies Jhinaoui.

In a Facebook post, Acting Minister Cakaj stated that the meeting was a good opportunity for them to have an exchange on starting diplomatic consultations between Albania and Tunisia as soon as possible, and on the importance of signing agreements designed to facilitate economic cooperation.

In his Facebook post, the Head of Albanian diplomacy underlined that, ‘While in the leadership of the Mediterranean Contact Group, Albania’s priority includes improvement of cooperation between the OSCE and the Union for the Mediterranean Regional Forum so as to advance the partnership between these two platforms. In such context, the importance of having as large an attendance as possible of the  Conference on the Mediterranean to take place in Tirana, was underlined.’
