Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs

The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, had an official visit to the “Museum of the Albanian Language Alphabet” in Bitola, North Macedonia.

This is the first time that a foreign minister of the Republic of Albania officially visits the Monastery, where 100 years ago, the Albanian language alphabet was made official.

Chief diplomat Cakaj, donated important historical materials preserved in the archives of the Albanian state, which for years were missing at the Museum of the Alphabet. These historical materials, according to Cakaj, serve to strengthen the national memory and further enrich the Museum of the Alphabet of the Albanian language.

These are the correspondences and invitations between the delegates, the minutes of the works of the Congress, some photographs, as well as the stamp of the literary club”Morning Star” of the Qirjazi sisters. These materials have already been added to the historical archives of the Museum of the Alphabet in Bitola.

During his stay in Bitola, the acting Minister Cakaj also visited the Honorary Consulate of Albania, and held meetings with representatives of the Albanian community and civil society in North Macedonia.
