During his stay in Bratislava, Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj had a meeting with the NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana.

In the course of the meeting, both conversional partners shared their views about NATO’s contribution about stabilisation and development of the region, and Albania’s military and technical contribution to NATO.

In a Facebook post, Cakaj wrote that, ‘We once again reiterated our commitment to achieve the 2 per cent defence spending goal by 2024.’

Discussions also centred around Albania’s priorities during its OSCE Chairmanship, and the need to carry on the excellent communication conducive to common values and interests.
