During his stay in Bratislava, Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj had a meeting with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
Discussions in the course of the meeting revolved around the importance of carrying on the EU enlargement in the Western Balkans, and the need to start membership negotiations with Albania.
Both conversational partners also discussed in detail the priorities for the Albanian OSCE Chairmanship, and the joint actions conducive to stability and security in Europe.
In a Facebook post, Cakaj wrote the following comment about the meeting, ‘We emphasised the paramount importance of granting visa liberalisation to me the Republic of Kosovo as soon as possible!’
