The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, had an online conversation today with the Minister of State for European Affairs of France, Amélie de Montchalin.

In a Facebook post, the Head of the Albanian Diplomacy Cakaj said that the conversation focused mainly on the measures taken and the cooperation between the two countries in the joint fight against COVID-19, the progress of reforms in Albania and the readiness to fulfill all necessary obligations, in order to move forward towards the membership in the European Union.

“Furthermore, we discussed the latest political developments in the Western Balkans, emphasizing the importance of ensuring a tangible European perspective for all countries,” Cakaj added in his post.

The two ministers also valued the importance of the agreement for the French Development Agency as an additional source, not only for the development of Albania, but it will also serve to deepen the relations between the two countries.
