Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, had a meeting with his Italian counterpart, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, following the NATO Summit.

Minister Bushati reiterated his congratulations to the counterpart Milanesi for taking office in the new position and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries. On his part, the Italian Minister expressed appreciation for the current stage of relations between Italy and Albania and expressed the unwavering will to strengthen Albania’s European path and Italy’s support in this process.

During the meeting, the two ministers shared the same view of strengthening cooperation and interests that both countries have in the Mediterranean whilst agreeing to find new modalities and opportunities in this regard.

Minister Bushati invited his Italian counterpart to pay a visit to Albania at his earliest convenience, an invitation that was welcomed by Minister Milanesi.
