Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, expressed her gratitude to the European Commission and Austria for providing the Western Balkans countries with about 651 thousand vaccines.

“Grateful to the European Commission and Austria for providing vaccines to the most vulnerable groups in the Western Balkans countries. Good friends in need are good friends indeed,” the minister wrote on social media.

About 145,000 doses of EU-funded vaccines will arrive in Albania from May to August.
