Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, starts today a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany as part of his tour in the capitals of all EU member states.

During the visit in Germany, Minister Bushati will have a meeting with the Minister of State for Europe Michael Roth, who will be informed about Albania’s progress in the field of reforms and addressing key priorities, expectations on the advancement of  relations with the European Union in terms of opening the accession negotiations. Ministers will also exchange views on the situation in the region and Europe.

An important part of Minister Bushati’s agenda will be a series of meetings with German parliamentarians, representatives of various political forces in the Bundestag, rapporteurs for Albania in the Bundestag, as well as the Chairman of the Bundestag Foreign Policy Committee, Norbert Roettgen and Chairman of the Committee for European Affairs, Gunther Krichbaum. In addition, of special importance will be a hearing session in the Bundestag, during which Minister Bushati will inform interlocutors about the progress Albania has made as regards the five key priorities and he will also respond to their queries in various issues.
