Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati welcomed today the Dutch President of the Senate, Ankie Broekers-Knol,, who are paying an official visit to Albania.

 

Minister Bushati underlined that the fulfillment of the given recommendations is our government’s will, not only in the framework of integration, but above all for the future of the country.

 

President Broekers-Knol expressed her satisfaction over her visit in Albania and highlighted that her visit gives a clear message that the Netherlands remains convinced that Albania is a European country with a clear European future. The Dutch position on the issue of opening the negotiations is a good opportunity to encourage Albania in pursing the road of reforms against organized crime and corruption.

 

The Netherlands appreciates Albania’s readiness for cooperation in all areas.

 

Minister Bushati and President Broekers-Knol agreed that the cooperation and exchange of experiences will continue intensifying between our two countries in areas of common interest.
