Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati is in the United Arab Emirates at the invitation of Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Minister Bushati is attending the Sir Bany Forum held in the Emirates, an important platform for political discussion that addresses the issues and challenges faced by the Middle East and their impact on European security architecture.

During the proceedings of the Forum, Minister Bushati had a meeting with his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two ministers praised the level of relations between our two countries, with emphasis on economic cooperation and funding from the Emirates of infrastructure projects in Albania. In this context, Minister Bushati sought financial support to the project for the extension of the new Tirana Boulevard. Focusing on cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism, Minister Bushati thanked his counterpart for the support he has given to Albania for participation in the 6-month Expo 2020 show in Dubai. The two ministers praised both multilateral cooperation and mutual support in international organizations as fruitful.

At the end of the meeting Minister Bushati and Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultation between the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania and the United Arab Emirates Foreign Ministry
