Prime Minister Edi Rama and Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj are in London to attend the NATO Summit.

Prime Minister Rama was joined by Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj in a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Stef Blok.

Discussions in the course of the meeting revolved around issues of common interest instrumental in improving bilateral cooperation, and the importance of Albania’s European perspective.

In his Facebook profile, Acting Minister Cakaj posted the following comment about the meeting: ‘However, most importantly, the Netherlands fully sympathises with Albania through these difficult times for Albania, very much willing to firmly support Albania in its efforts to restore and reconstruct the earthquake-stricken areas across the country!’
