During an official visit to Saudi Arabia, Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj was received in a meeting by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

The two counterparts discussed the ample possibilities of cooperation, amongst others, in the fields of economy, transportation, and trade, as they also agreed on the need for a series of actions designed to complement the respective domestic and promote investments.

On the diplomatic level, the two Ministers signed the Visa Waiver Agreement for holders of diplomatic and service passports of the respective countries.

‘The strategic cooperation between our countries in a number of especially important areas, including fight against terrorism, will continue. In the course of this meeting, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud confirmed his willingness to assist Albania in coping with the earthquake consequences,’ Cakaj stated in a Facebook post. ​
