In the course of his stay in Vienna, Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj met with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg.

During the meeting, they discussed the main priorities of the Albanian OSCE Chairmanship in 2020, and the joint commitments for the purpose of security and democratic developments. The topics of discussion included European integration.

‘Minister Schallenberg and I talked also about the need to launch EU membership negotiations with Albania and North Macedonia during this year! Particular appreciation for Austria’s extraordinary support to Albania in its OSCE’s commitments, and EU integration,’ Cakaj wrote in a Facebook post.

Both Cakaj and Austrian Minister Schallenberg once again underlined the fact that Kosovo has fulfilled all its obligations for the visa liberalisation.
