During his stay in Skopje, the Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj had a meeting with the Minister for the European Neighborhood of the United Kingdom, Wendy Morton.

“Despite leaving the EU, the United Kingdom continues to be a strong supporter of regional cooperation and the European perspective of the Western Balkans in general.”- emphasized the acting minister in a Facebook post, related to the meeting.

Furthermore, Cakaj expressed gratitude to the United Kingdom, for the support given to Albania in all the phases of the democratic developments and in the inalienable European aspirations.

As per the bilateral cooperation, the Acting Minister Cakaj said that, together with Minister Morton, they evaluated the need to deepen the bilateral relations with new agreements and also agreed to increase the communication for a wide range of issues of mutual interest.
