Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, had a phone conversation with the German Minister of State for Europe, Michael Roth.

“I thanked him for the generous and ceaseless support for Albania and his visionary approach for the Western Balkans.”- posted Cakaj on his Facebook about this conversation.

Also, the Head of Albanian Diplomacy stressed that with Minister Roth they shared the same views related to the substantial progress of Albania and the necessity to open accession negotiations with EU as soon as possible.

The role of Germany in supporting the domestic reforms and the European path of Albania, according to the head of diplomacy, is irreplaceable.

“There is no other alternative but further work towards the EU membership.”- Cakaj concluded its post.
